ABOUT DR. STEPHANIE BESTWINA
MEDICALLY TRAINED OPTOMETRIST
Dr. Stephanie Bestwina graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Following graduation, she completed a residency in ocular disease at the Spokane VA Medical Center in Spokane, WA. She has worked in several ophthalmology/optometry group practices specializing in surgical co-management, glaucoma, retinal disease, cataract and dry eye.
Dr. Bestwina also enjoys specialty contact lens fitting for irregular and post-surgical corneas. She strives to stay abreast of the most current technologies and treatment options. She feels that the best care of her patients comes from discussing options and including her patients in the decision-making process.
Dr. Bestwina is originally from the Chicago area, and relocated to Colorado Springs in 2014. She is a member of the Colorado Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Bestwina has participated in several missions with VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity), including trips to Honduras, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Madagascar, most recently. She feels it is important to give back where you can. It is an incredible way to serve, meet wonderful people and see some parts of the world you might otherwise not have encountered!
In her free time, Dr. Bestwina enjoys the outdoors. She loves to hike, camp, ski, mountain bike, and spend time with boyfriend, and two dogs, Finn and Clancy. She is an avid sports fan, especially loyal to the Chicago Cubs!
